1. Who We Are

Hush — Silent Alarm & Routines ("Hush", "we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application developed and operated by Dorin Sterie, based in Bucharest, Romania. You can contact us at hello@hush-alarm.app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Hush service:

• Account information: Email address and password when you register
• Alarm and routine data: Your alarm times, routine steps, and mission preferences — stored locally on your device
• Usage data: Streak counts, missions completed, achievements — stored locally on your device
• Location data: Approximate location for the weather widget, used only in real-time and never stored on our servers
• Camera access: Used only during photo missions to verify you are out of bed — photos are never stored or transmitted
• Notification permissions: Used to fire alarm notifications and bedtime reminders at your configured times

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Hush app
• Send alarm and bedtime reminder notifications at your configured times
• Display local weather information on the alarm screen
• Track your streak and achievements locally on your device
• Process subscription payments through Apple's in-app purchase system
• Respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage

The majority of your data — alarms, routines, settings, progress — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly back it up through Apple's iCloud backup.

Your account email is stored securely. We do not store your password in plain text.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not record, store, or transmit photos taken during missions
• We do not track your precise GPS location
• We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising
• We do not share your data with data brokers

6. Third-Party Services

Hush uses a limited number of third-party services:

• Open-Meteo API: Free weather API. Your approximate location is sent to retrieve weather data. No account or API key required. See their privacy policy at open-meteo.com.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions. Processes subscription status only, not payment details. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com.
• Anthropic Claude API: Powers the AI Morning Coach feature. Only your streak count, day of week, and weather condition are sent — never your name, email, or personal data. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com.
• Apple: In-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Hush offers a free 7-day trial and optional Premium subscription at $3.99/month or $29.99/year. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your credit card information.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Hush is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data

10. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Data stored locally on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app.

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Hush after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
